On 16 November, “Walking and Singing on Snowy Plateau - Tsering Dorjee Tibetan Style Oil Painting Exhibition” was launched at STA’s Duanjun Theatre, which was also symbolic of the inauguration of a rich program of events in celebration of STA’s 70th anniversary. STA ‘s President Han Sheng, former Party Secretary Dai Ping, Prof Zhou Benyi of Stage Design Department and other relevant teachers, some of the students attended the launch of the exhibition. Wang Luwei, Dean of Stage Design Department, acted as the master of ceremony for the launch.
Tsering Dorjee was a student of the Year 1980 Class of STA’s Stage Design Department and is now a National Grade A scenographer. He used to be Vice Chairman of Tibetan Fine Arts Association, Member of CPPCC Tibetan Committee, Member of Tibetan Federation of Literature and Art Circles. As a graduate from STA’s second Tibetan class, Tsering Dorjee has made great achievements in the area of scenography in Tibet, however, it has been his long cherish desire to come back to his alma mater to hold a personal painting exhibition.
This painting exhibition coincided with STA’s 70th anniversary and will add significant to the upcoming anniversary celebrations.
