On the afternoon of 7 November, Sino-Russian cultural and artistic exchanges China Tour event (Fengxian district) was held successfully in the Experimental High School’s Beigang Campus. The Golden Dragon Cultural and Artistic Troupe from Russia, Young Pioneer 56 Flowers Artistic Troupe, various art colleges and groups in Shanghai, and little performers from the Experimental High School participated in the performances. The event was co-sponsored by the Russian Consulate-General in Shanghai, Young Pioneer Loving Care Group’s Public Welfare Operation Management Committee, Xinhua Little Reporters Shanghai Organizing Committee, Fengxian District People’s Government and Fengxian District Youth League Committee with the assistance of Experimental High School and Happy Growth Education and Training School.
The Sino-Russian cultural and art exchange show officially opened. Two Peking Opera performances given by the students of STA Chinese Traditional Opera School showcased the artistic style of Peking Opera from different angles to the audience who were amazed by the dazzling stage performance. These two performances allowed the Russian students to fully appreciate the charm of Chinese traditional opera and culture. The Chinese and Russian audiences were deeply immersed in the show.
There were altogether 31 performances with rich content and repeated climax. The audience experienced the Chinese and Russian artistic charms and, at the same time, were greatly impressed by the long-lasting and precious Sino-Russian friendship. This event adhered to the objectives of Sino-Russian youth exchange and enhanced the cultural and artistic exchanges and friendship between the young students of China and Russia, with art as a linkage. By participating in this event, STA Chinese Traditional Opera School also provided its students with good stage performance experience for the students. Culture is without borders and exchange is long-lasting. We wish the friendship between the two countries ever green.
