On September 17, Professor Sandra Torlucfcci, President of Argentina National University of the Arts, and Professor Federico Bacher, visited our Academy. Vice President Gong Baorong and relevant officials of the International Exchange Centre represented our Academy in receiving the foreign guests.
Professor Sandra Torlucfcci introduced that Argentina National University of the Arts has been established for more than 100 years and is a very important university of art in Latin America. The university has 12 campuses, nine departments, 16,000 students, is the world's largest professional tertiary institution of art, and has trained many Latin American theater, film and television celebrities. Professor Sandra Torlucfcci expressed that her visit to China this time would focus on expanding exchanges with Chinese tertiary art institutions and Shanghai Theater Academy is one of the three important universities that they would call on during the visit. In the meantime, Argentina National University of the Arts expressed the desire for the two universities to sign a friendly exchanges agreement. Vice President Gong Baorong said that our Academy has not had many exchanges with art institutions in Latin America and Argentina National University of the arts would be one of our strategic partners in the future.
