On 17 June 2015, led by Ms Zhou Peizhen, Director-General of Hong Kong Culture and Art Foundation, the student delegation of Hong Kong literary and art circles visited the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA). The delegation was mainly comprised of teachers and students of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Hong Kong Baptist University School of Music. Mr Gong Baorong, STA Vice President and relevant officials of STA International Exchange Centre received the delegation.
The delegation toured the STA campus and the various theatres, observed the classes of the Directing Department, Stage Design Department and Musical Play Centre, and held warm and friendly discussions with teachers and students of STA for better understanding of the similarities and differences between the two places in the area of art education. Both sides agreed to build on the existing friendly cooperation and undertake further substantive projects of professor exchange, student exchange and cultural and artistic co-creation, thereby building a bridge of culture and art between the young people of Hong Kong and Mainland China.
