STA College of Creative Studies holds closing ceremony for Year 2015 Sino-foreign joint education program

In the afternoon of 8 June, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA)’s College of Creative Studies held the closing ceremony for the Year 2015 Sino-foreign joint education program. STA Vice President Huang Changyong and responsible people of the College of Creative Studies attended the ceremony together with 29 students and their parents.

By September 2015, the Sino-foreign joint education program of the STA College of Creative Studies will send 25% of the students to the City University London, UK, 25% to the Unitec Institute of Technology, New Zealand, and 50% to the New York Film Academy, USA where the students will continue to complete their bachelor degree courses after having studied the foundation courses at STA.

During their time at STA, the students have studied a diversified range of courses according to their chosen majors including Introduction to Arts, Customer Behavior, Audience Development, Directing Fundamentals and Acting Fundamentals and, in the meantime, have received intensive English language training. These have laid a sound foundation in terms of professional and communication capabilities and provided smooth and effective connection for their overseas. In study. In the meantime, STA also invited professors and administrators of the overseas partner universities to Shanghai to hold workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions with the students, helping them to have an even understanding of the university life overseas and be adapted to the contents of the courses and teaching style in advance.

STA Vice President Huang Changyong and relevant officials of the College of Creative Studies presented the completion certificates to the 29 students of the STA-City University London joint undergraduate program. At the end of the ceremony, all teachers and students took a group photo to mark the occasion. By then, the students have successfully concluded their study at STA and next they will face the more challenging study of bachelor degree course.
