On 27 May, a delegation led by Mr Ali Zainal, Qatar’s ambassador to UNESCO visited the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA). STA Party Secretary Lou Wei and STA Vice President Gong Baorong met with the guests.
STA Party Secretary Lou Wei briefed the guests on STA’s 70 years of development history as well as its efforts and achievements in international art exchange and cooperation, especially, the recent International Dance Day celebrations held successfully in collaboration with the International Theatre Institute (ITI). Going forward, STA will join hands with ITI on more exchange programs in arts and education. The UNESCO delegation spoke highly about STA’s achievements in art education and international exchange and expressed the desire to expand the channels and cooperate actively in support of STA’s endeavors to promote the works of Chinese theatre to the world.
