This year’s International Women’s Day (3 March) is upcoming. This afternoon, the trade union of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) organized and carried out a special activity which was to present carnation flowers to its female employees at the Huashan Road campus, Lianhua Road campus and Caobao Road campus as a token of festival greetings and best wishes to all of them.
During STA’s development history of 70 years, the female employees have always stood side by side with their male colleagues in the pursuit of the university’s goals and objectives. Their hard work and down-to-earth attitude, which reflect the style of the era possessed by the contemporary women, have won the respect of their male colleagues as well as the recognition of and reward by the society. It was learnt that at the Shanghai Education System Conference and Award Ceremony in Commemoration of the 105 Anniversary of the International Women’s Day which was held yesterday, STA International Exchange Centre, STA Deputy Party Secretary Ms Hu Min, STA Trade Union Full-time Deputy Chair Ms Wang Su and STA Stage Design Department Teacher Ms Li Ya won the awards for their outstanding services as a female team or female individual respectively.
Besides, STA Women Affairs Committee won the Best Organizer Award for the participation in the composition and photography exhibitions of teacher families in Shanghai.
This year, STA trade union also prepared a present for each female employee. The presents will be delivered to the female employees via their respective departmental trade union as an expression of festival greetings and best wishes to all female colleagues and to cultivate a warm and united campus atmosphere.
