3rd training program for managerial personnel of Shanghai's art troupes is held at STA

In the afternoon of 5 January, the opening ceremony of the third training program for managerial personnel of art troupes in Shanghai, which was sponsored by the Talents Office of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and co-organized by the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) and Shanghai Theatre Association, was held at the Shanghai Theatre Academy.

This training program relates to the sustainable development of the managerial teams of the art troupes in Shanghai and as such features further strengthened teaching management. The training program adopts a structure that combines theoretical study with survey and practice and includes observation of performances and visits to art troupes in Shanghai and other provinces when appropriate with a view to improving the trainees’ management skills and increasing their actual management capabilities through learning from the good experience of the others in the organization and management of artistic production.

Running a successful training course for managerial personnel of art troupes is an important event in the development of art talents in Shanghai. As the organizer, the Shanghai Theatre Academy feels a strong sense of responsibility for providing the best teachers to ensure a successful and productive training program.

Talents are the key to the development and prosperity of cultural undertakings. In recent years, under the leadership of the publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles has undertaken a great amount of work in the exploration and cultivation of talents in a variety of artistic categories, including a number of influential training programs organized by the Shanghai Theatre Association in succession in coordination with the Talents Office of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee. The Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Shanghai Theatre Association will spare no efforts in providing the best services on a continued basis to ensure the smooth advancement of the training program in all aspects.

After a brief opening ceremony, Ms Chen Dong, Deputy Director-General of Publicity Department, CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, addressed the first session of the training program with a presentation entitled “The Mechanism Construction of Shanghai’s Literary and Art Work and its Current Development”.
