On 29 October, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) held the 6th China Peking Opera Art Foundation Scholarship Conferring Ceremony at its Lianhua Road campus. The ceremony was chaired by Mr Guo Yu, Vice President of STA and concurrently Dean of Chinese Traditional Opera College and Principle of Chinese Traditional Opera School affiliated to STA.
Leaders of the China Peking Opera Art Foundation present at the ceremony included Chen Yingxian (President and Secretary-General), Ma Bomin (Vice President), Lin Ruikang (Member of Executive Council and Advisor) and Xu Xingjie (Member of Executive Council and Deputy Secretary-General and a former leader of Chinese Traditional Opera School).
Vice President Guo Yu acknowledged the leaders and gave a brief introduction about the China Peking Opera Art Foundation. Xu Xingjie, Member of Executive Council and Deputy Secretary-General of China Peking Opera Art Foundation, announced the name list of the scholarship recipients which included five students from the Chinese Traditional Opera College and five from the Chinese Traditional Opera School). Leaders of the China Peking Opera Art Foundation and STA presented the scholarship certificates to these students and tool a group photo with them in commemoration of the occasion.
