On 18 September 2014, the International Exchange Centre of the Shanghai Theatre Academy held the welcome party for new international students. Over 40 students from 13 different countries gathered happily in the Glass Pavilion of the Zhongyi Building for the welcome party. Prof Gong Baorong, Vice President of STA, made a welcoming speech. Other participating officers and teachers included Zhang Yunlei, Deputy Director of International Exchange Centre and Wang Beibei of International Exchange Centre; Wang Chunyun, Deputy Director of Postgraduate Program Office; Li Dongmei , tutor for international students.
The students prepared and gave some interesting and wonderful performances. After the performances, the teachers and students enjoyed a buffet together. The event facilitated the exchange and understanding among the students and between them and the teachers. As an old Chinese saying goes “what a joy it is to have friends come from afar. We warmly welcome the Year 2014 international students to the warm big family of the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
