On 27 June, a theme concert entitled “Songs Dedicated to Students – A Special Graduation Present” was held at the Xuhui Campus of the Shanghai Jiaotong University. As one of the activities of the city-wide celebration of the 30th Teachers’ Festival, this concert invited the leaders of universities in Shanghai to sing songs for and deliver messages of best wishes to the graduating students.
During the concert, Mr Lou Wei, Chairman of STA, stood on the stage and sang the song “As long as you live a better life than I do”, and Prof Guo Yu, Vice President of STA, acted as the master of ceremony for the entire concert.. Besides, STA also sent a professional team which was responsible for the stage design, lighting and make-up for the concert. The STA student cheering squad interacted lively with the performances on the stage and was in itself another highlight of the concert.
Leaders of other universities including Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, East China Normal University, Shanghai University of Engineering Science and Shanghai Lixin University of Commerce also stood on the stage and expressed their best wishes to the students by way of vocal solo, chorus and musical instrument performance.
This concert was a unique way to provide vivid education to the students. Such a special graduation present enabled the students to achieve the rational distillation of the “beauty” of logic while experiencing the perceptual cognition of the “beauty” of art education.
