On the morning of November 11st, the teaching delegation of Beijing Film Academy visited STA. The delegation consists of more than ten persons including Mu Deyuan, the Dean of the Teaching Administration Department, Ni Jie, the Vice Dean of the department, Huang Yingxia, the Director of the Postgraduate Department, Zhang Hui, the Director of the Acting College, Chen Yi, the Secretary of the Party Committee, Xu Xiangyun, the Vice-director of the Youth Film Factory, etc. Han Sheng, the President of STA, Guo Yu, the Vice President of STA, and more directors from related department extend warm welcome to the guests from far away, including Li Zhenlin, Xu Yong, Hu Xuehua, He Yan, Zhang Jun, Guo Chenyan, Wang Xueming, Yin Yonghua, etc.


Both academies communicated on the daily teaching administration, and the detailed researches are focused on the following issues: quality monitoring and practice teaching in the talents fostering process of the art colleges, administration of the daily teaching program for undergraduates in art colleges, the education of the postgraduates, the enrollment of the acting college, etc.


Both STA and BFA are top institutes for art education in China, and so there are similarities for us in the prospect, the progress in teaching reform, the enrollment of undergraduates and postgraduates, the problems we faced, etc. In an active conversation, both academies learn from each other. Some actions BFA takes impress us a lot: the emphasis on the joint project before graduation and the supervision of the supervisor, the course credit compensation for awards, teaching monitoring with evaluation system designed by the institute, reform of the political courses conducted with quality guest teachers, representatives from different fields in instructing committee, the defense of new majors, etc.


The communication on teaching and exchange of ideas between art institutes are catalysis for the development of teaching quality and administration. It is also helpful for the friendship between two academies.
