According to the report from Wenhui Newspaper on November 6, Verdi’s famous opera Attila will be on stage in Shanghai Grand Theatre tomorrow. The costume designed by Pan Jianhua, professor from STA who is gaining subsidy rewarded by the State Council, becomes another spotlight in this opera. As the first show for the reopening of the Grand Theatre, Attila the opera saves no efforts on the design of the costume, aiming to impress the audience and to make it the cherry on the top for the great artistic expression of the opera. Professor Pan Jianhua introduced: in the designing of the costume for Attila, they paid more attention to the detailed expression of the cloth and tried to integrate the Chinese and Western culture in the rich historical environment. Finally they vividly recreated the features of the Hun Clothing which helped in creation of the emotion of the characters in the opera.
