In this Oct. 2013, just before the 10th anniversary of the joint academic administration from Shanghai Theatre Academy and government of Jiangan District, edited by Professor Wu Xinjia, the book Rubber Band of Time was compiled and published, which is a collection of student works from the Affiliated School of STA and reflects the achievement of 10 years art education.
The book consists of 112 works from the students graduated from 2007 to 2014 from the Affiliated School of STA. The works include essays, stories, comments, plays and micro films, which condense the unique life experience from the art majors. Some of the works are the class exercises from the art majors, some the model articles from the exams for art majors, some the scripts of the program staged on school art festival, and some prize winners from the national or municipal essay contests are also edited into the book.
According to the different majors of the teachers giving comments, the book is divided into 9 parts. Before each article are the course ideas and teaching designs from the professional teachers of STA, and after each article are the sincere comments from teachers or writers. Reading this book, one can think about the comments from professional teachers, feel the artistic features and expressive techniques in essay writing, get familiar with the distinct structure design and plotting in storytelling, be clear about the logic arrangement and perspective selection in comment writing, appreciate the climax and characters design in a play, etc
The new book is named after a micro film from students. It implies that the book condenses the group memory of the students in 10 years school life, and those works are like rubber band which is elastic and every word is the shining notes adding to the young and colorful days in school time.
Rubber Band of Time is a professional book in art major with rich content, various genres and creative perspectives in selection.
