Several days ago, Lu Ang and Luo Huaizhen from Shanghai Theatre Academy won great honors in the 14th Wenhua Award, the top arts award granted to professional performers by China's ministry of culture.
Peking Opera Rui Fu Xiang (瑞蚨祥), directed by Lu Ang, the Dean of the Direction Department in STA, won the top prize of Wenhua Award in the 14th China Art Festival. Lu Ang himself was rewarded the Prize of “Wenhua Director” for his excellent direction in this opera. Anecdotes in the Age of Jianan by Peking Opera Group of Hubei Province won Wenhua Award. Its script was written by part time Professor Luo Huaizhen form STA, and Luo Huaizhen himself won the title of “Wenhua Playwriter”.
