During the Creation Week, 3D building projection Red Building@ Musical Dances and Variety Shows hits STA everyday together with the falls of the nights. The creation of Red Building@ Musical Dances and Variety Shows is based on musical dances and variety shows in Han Dynasty. All these beautiful pictures in three parts, including designs on bricks in Han Dynasty, musical dances and variety shows, depicts the unchanging will, optimistic spirit and long-lasting energy of people in Han Dynasty. It shows the prosperity of the music, dancing, objects juggling and shows from the street to the stage, market and palace, which reveals the glory of the Chinese ancient theatre culture.
The projection performance is played at different time periods, yet every period draws great attention. Fresh men say this is an experience that they never had before and also a great way to performance. 3D effect is shocking and they never realized that the place they had lectures everyday could be a screen in the sky. We own credits to the contributors in virtual lab for the great effect. It took them half a year to visit many important cultural relics and history museums in Shaanxi, Henan, Sichuan, etc, to interview related experts, to search for many bricks in Han Dynasty, pottery figures, pictures, models, and dynamic information on the inner meaning of the historical scene. A visual feast full of the historical and cultural background and heritage of the theatre art is therefore showed within the range of the red building construction.
3D construction projection Red Building@ Musical Dances and Variety Shows is an important part of 2013 China cultural creation project DTAM, Dimensional Theatre Act Museum. And the display of this technology in Creation Week is completely novel and impressive. The visual compact and shock together with the classic cultural background allow red building to sparkle in Creation Week as "a screen in the sky".
