Wu Jianmin

Wu Jianmin

  Wu Jianmin graduated from the Department of French in Beijing Institute of Foreign Languages and used to serve as the interpreter for national leaders like Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai. He has occupied such positions as President of the Bureau of International Expositions, Counselor of the Permanent Mission of China to UN, Chief and Spokesman of the Foreign Ministry Information Department, ambassador to Netherland, ambassador to France, and President of China Foreign Affairs University. Former French President Jacques Chirac has awarded a General Medal to Wu for his services. Wu Jianmin hold currently such posts as President of the Council, Shanghai International Issues Research Center, Academician and Vice-President in European Academy of Sciences, Honorary President of the Bureau of International Expositions and so on. His major works include Changes, Art of Communication, Case Studies in Diplomacy, and World Expo. and Me. Wu has made considerable contributions to the development of China's foreign relations and the promotion of Chinese Culture.
