I am delighted to inform you that Shanghai Theatre Academy will host The 8th Shanghai International Experimental Theatre Festival during April 19 - 26, 2015. An international academic seminar will be held during the same period. I would like to invite a production from your organization to participate in the event.
Shanghai International Experimental Theatre Festival was founded by Shanghai Theatre Academy in 1998, and it has developed into a regular biennial event after seven rounds. Productions from dozens of countries and regions have attended the festival. The performances, as well as the research and discussion on performance art, has increased the prosperity of experimental theatre, and promoted the culture exchange between China and the other countries around the world.
The main activities at The 8th Shanghai International Experimental Theatre Festival include performances, workshops and a seminar with the theme on exchange of Chinese and foreign theatre. The participating groups will present the performance for 2 times during the week-long festival. The organizing committee will cover the local transportation and accommodation of the group (up to 9 persons, 1 single room for team leader and 4 double rooms for the others) for one week during their stay in Shanghai, and provide the performance venue and technical support. The other expenses, including international travel and insurance, shall be borne by the participating group.
