Ms Xu Yong was born in May 1974. She is of Han ethnicity, and her family origin is Shanghai. She became a member of the Communist Party of China in March 1998. She holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in law. Ms Xu began her career in July 1995, and has served as Director of the Student Affairs Department/Office, Director of the Admissions and Career Services Office at the Shanghai Theatre Academy; Director of the CPC Committee’s Office, Director of the President's Office, Director of the Information Technology Officeand Director of the Publicity Department at the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Ms Xu is currently Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Vice President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
