Mr Xie Wei

Mr Xie Wei was born in February 1972. He is of Han ethnicity, and his family origin is Qidong, Jiangsu Province. He became a member of the Communist Party of China in June 1996. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree obtained through full-time undergraduate study, and a Master of Management degree obtained through on-the-job postgraduate study. He holds the professional title of associate research fellow. Mr Xie began his career in August 1993 and has since held various positions, including Director of the Comprehensive Office at the General Office of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee; Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Songjiang District Committee, where he served as Director of the Publicity Department and Director of the Organization Department; Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee for Market Regulation Work in Shanghai; and Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee at the Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation. Mr Xie is currently Secretary of the CPC Committee at the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
