The 22nd China Shanghai International Arts Festival (CSIAF) has officially kicked off.

In the autumn of 2013, the campus of Shanghai Theatre Academy was infused with a new atmosphere, which was the new section that first appeared in the Shanghai International Arts Festival, called Rising Artists Works & RAW! Land.

Since then, Rising Artists Works & RAW! Land has always been part of the Shanghai International Arts Festival.

This year marks not only the return of the Shanghai International Arts Festival, but also coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Rising Artists Works & RAW! Land, and this year's Rising Artists Works & RAW! Land will open on 20 October.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Rising Artists Works & RAW! Land, the China Shanghai International Arts Festival Centre and the Shanghai Theatre Academy will jointly plan and launch a series of activities, such as through performances, exhibitions and forums, to continuously enhance the capacity of this originality support platform, highlight the energy of China's young artists to express their art, and plan for the development in the upcoming decade.

The overall review of the 10 years of Rising Artists Works & RAW! Land will be held at the Huashan Road Campus of the Shanghai Theatre Academy as the main venue. At the Duanjun Theatre, the 10th anniversary exhibition of the Rising Artists Works & RAW! Land will utilize a blend of pictures, images and statistics to demonstrate the extraordinary decade that the first comprehensive youth support platform in China has gone through together with young artists.

The use of technology to further expand the exhibition's outreach spectrum is also a major feature of the exhibition. The outdoor art layout of the exhibition uses augmented reality (AR) technology, blurring the boundaries between the virtual and the real, and making this culture- education integrated project of aesthetic education more vivid in the eyes of the audience.

Over the past ten years, 92 young artists from different fields have been commissioned through this platform, and have created 78 works, which have been supported and recommended by the China Shanghai International Arts Festival. A considerable number of these works have been presented in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Romania, Norway and Australia, as well as in Chinas Hong Kong and Taiwan regions, demonstrating to the world the humanistic concepts and innovative gestures of the youth of China today.
