From 10 to 12 June 2023, the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival Market (SIFF Market) opened at The Longemont Shanghai. The Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film was invited to participate in the physical and online exhibition and market events of the 25th SIFF Market, to introduce the Shanghai Theatre Academy Experimental Film Studio newly established at the end of December 2022, its important film and television development projects and important production sites to film exhibitors from all over the country and the world.
Li Zhenlin, Dean of the STA College of Film and Director of the STA Experimental Film Studio, and Han Yongsheng, Secretary of the Party Branch of the STA Film Academy, fully discussed future cooperation matters with exhibitors and guests who came to participate in the SIFF Market, with cooperation directions covering a range of areas including young directors cultivation, film and television investment and financing, production, filming locations, distribution, venue leasing, legal affairs etc.
The teachers, students, and volunteers from the STA College of Film introduced and showcased the College’s achievements in film and television education over the past years to the industry, distributed cultural and creative products based on excellent student works, and showcased the growing industry influence of the STA College of Film through exchange and mutual learning.
This year, the SIFF has also built China’s first Metaverse of large-scale independent film festival – SIFF Metaverse Experience Roadshow Centre, in which the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film also took part.
