University bookstores are one of the highlights of Shanghai’s city culture. Shanghai Theatre Academy, (STA) which just celebrated its 75th anniversary, has added to the colorful landscape of university bookstores. On 1 December 2020, the day of STA’s anniversary celebration, the STA Art Bookstore was formally launched. 

STA Art Bookstore, which is on STA’s Huashan Road Campus, is located at 620 Huashan Road facing the street. As a bookstore of an art university, it has an artistic atmosphere throughout the entire space, and also brings a scholarly atmosphere to the surrounding area.

STA Art Bookstore will mainly focus on the areas of theatre, film, television and contemporary art etc, and also covers history, philosophy and humanities. And, it will also created a comprehensive art bookstore through various forms of activities such as scholars' lectures, art salons and performances etc, thus creating a unique cultural exchange space for art-loving people from all walks of life of the society.
