Shanghai Theatre Academy Holds National Day Flag Raising Ceremony

At 8 am on 1 October, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) held the National Day Flag Raising Ceremony at its Changlin Road Campus. In the majestic national anthem March of the Volunteers, the national flag of the Peoples Republic of China rose slowly facing the rising sun. The teachers and students solemnly saluted the national flag with eyes and sang the national anthem in unison, expressing their best wishes for the 71st anniversary of the founding of thePeople's Republic of China.

To realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, we need to cultivate patriotism and carry forward the spirit of patriotism. Feng Huamao, a Class of 2018 postgraduate student, gave a passionate speech entitled Chinese Heroes under the national flag, paying tribute to the great anti-COVID-19 spirit and calling on young people to devote their youth and strength to where the motherland needs the most and become the Chinese heroes shining in the ordinary.

Lu Yuqing from MARadio and Television Editing and Directing 2017 of the College of Film and Television performed a Chinese zither solo, demonstrating the firm determination of the Chinese people to overcome all difficulties and obstacles and forge ahead bravely towards the great rejuvenation

Liu Yijin and Li Xinyu from BA Art Management 2019 of the College of Creative Studies and Zhao Shi'ang from BA Radio and TV Hosting 2018 of the College of Film and Television performed a poem recitation, expressing the deep feelings of the post-2000s generation towards the 71-year-old People's Republic of China.
