Yu Ping, once Assistant Dean of Beijing Dance Academy, is currently Deputy Chief of the Art Section of the Ministry of Culture. He has been honored as national “Young Academic Leader with Outstanding Contributions” and enjoys the special allowance rewarded by the State Council.
　　His representative works include The Outline of Chinese Dance History, Chinese Ancient Dance and Culture of Refined Scholars, Course of Chinese and Western Dance Ideology, The Morphology of Dance, and Culture and Aesthetics of Dance. Some works compiled by Yu Ping are Choreographer's Teaching Reference Materials, Dance Teaching Reference Materials, Chinese Dance Teaching Reference Materials, and Dance Criticism Teaching Reference Materials.
