The Shanghai Education Evaluation Reform Outstanding Cases 2023 were recently announced, with the selected case submitted by the Shanghai Theatre Academy, titled "Precise Evaluation of Talent Cultivation Quality Based on Long-term Graduates' Tracking Survey," honored among the ranks.
The selection of outstanding cases for educational evaluation reform in Shanghai began in 2021, aiming to summarize and promote the progress and typical experiences of grass-roots educational evaluation reform practices and expand the radiation scope of reform achievements. A total of 46 projects, including 23 higher education evaluation reform outstanding cases, were selected as the "Shanghai Education Evaluation Reform Outstanding Cases 2023."
In recent years, the Shanghai Theatre Academy has comprehensively implemented the "Overall Plan for Deepening the Reform of Education Evaluation in the New Era" and the "Shanghai Implementation Plan for Deepening the Reform of Education Evaluation in the New Era" issued by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, striving to construct a diversified participation in the new talent cultivation evaluation mechanism, optimizing the exit evaluation mechanism of talent cultivation quality, focusing on the supply-side and demand-side reforms of talent cultivation, and promoting the transformation from "supply-centered" to "demand-centered" talent cultivation evaluation mechanism reform.
The case of "Precise Evaluation of Talent Cultivation Quality Based on Long-term Graduates' Tracking Survey" from the Shanghai Theatre Academy, which focuses on the "demand-oriented" talent cultivation evaluation mechanism, emphasizes top-level design, overall coordination, and comprehensive advancement, as well as supervision and implementation. This project spans both internal and external aspects, utilizing digital resources as an effective support to create a long-term graduate tracking survey mechanism in the field of art schools for the first time.
The evaluation mechanism coordinates two aspects: upholding moral education and effective integration; and grasping two orientations: problem-oriented and evaluation guide-oriented.
By addressing the most pressing career development issues in talent cultivation, the project conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses to achieve horizontal integration within and outside the school, vertical linking of teaching and employment, all-round research coverage, accurate data, precise mapping, neutral and effective judgments, and scientific evaluation feeding back into talent cultivation.
The research ultimately formed the "Shanghai Theatre Academy Specialty Talent Cultivation Quality Evaluation Report," which fills a historical gap in the evaluation of artistic talent cultivation achievements in the school and even the entire country. It contributes to accurately mapping the professional landscape and promoting comprehensive reforms in talent cultivation at the school. The school will continue to leverage this mechanism, implement more effectively the construction of an educationally-advanced country and provide education that meets people's expectations.
