From 11 to 12 May 11, at the invitation of the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film, Professor Stanislav Semerdjiev, Executive Dire tor of the Centre International de Liaison des Ecoles de Cinéma et de Télévision (CILECT), visited the Shanghai Theater Academy concerning the application of the Shanghai Theater Academy College of Film to join CILECT. Professor Stanislav Semerdjiev mainly inspected the Changlin Road Campus where the College of Film is located and conducted research and investigation on the such aspects as teaching, faculty, teaching and learning environment, student creation, student employment and industry recognition of the Shanghai Theater Academy College of Film.
On the morning of 11 May, at the Changlin Road Campus of Shanghai Theatre Academy, Professor Semerdjiev observed the relevant courses of the College of Film. On the afternoon of 11 May, accompanied by the relevant leaders of the College of Film, Professor Semerdjiev conducted a comprehensive inspection of the teaching and learning environment at the Changlin Road Campus. After the visit, Professor Semerdjiev attended a roundtable meeting with the faculty and staff representatives from the College of Film. After the meeting, Professor Semerdjiev joined the teachers and students of the College of Film Academy to watch the student film works of the College of Film, and exchanged and discussed the film creation experiences with the teachers and students of the College of Film.
On 12 May, in the conference room on the second floor of the Foxi Building on the Huashan Road Campus of Shanghai Theatre Academy, Professor Semerdjiev attended the roundtable meeting with the alumni representatives and the roundtable meeting with the industry partners.
At the wrap-up meeting, Professor Huang Changyong, President of the Shanghai Theatre, expressed his warm welcome and gratitude to Professor Semerdjiev for his visit, and introduced the current development status and future development directions of the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film.
During this investigation, Professor Stanislav Semerdjiev gave full recognition of the construction of laboratory facilities, the creative practice and employment of students, the teaching philosophy of teachers and other aspects at the College of Film. He believed that if the Shanghai Theater Academy became a member of CILECT, it would be a win-win result for the Shanghai Theater Academy and CILECT.
