On the afternoon of 9 March, with the great support of the Logistic and Security Division, the Retire Staff Affairs Office and the International Exchange Center jointly organized the "International Women's Day – Chinese Traditional Dimsum DIY" event in the canteen of the Huashan Road Campus. 21 retired female teachers and staff and 15 international students participated in the event.
This event included demonstration of Chinese traditional dimsum making, group practice and competition of making steamed buns and dumplings between representatives of retired female teachers and staff and representatives of international students.
The purpose of this event was to show the high spirit of the retired female teachers and staff of STA, and to enhance international friendship, disseminate Chinese civilization and promote the traditional virtues of diligence of the Chinese nation as well as the infinite charm of Chinese culture through exchange and interaction with international students.
The event concluded in a lively and harmonious atmosphere. Retired female teachers and staff expressed that this kind of events had injected joy into their retirement life and that they would love to join again if there were opportunities in the future.
