On the morning of 15 January 2019, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) held a special meeting of middle management at the New Space Theatre of its Huashan Road Campus. The STA leaders, namely, Lou Wei, Huang Changyong, Hu Min, Zhou Yin'e, Zhang Weiling, Tang Litu, Zhang Jiachun , as well as all members of the middle management, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Lou Wei, Party Secretary of STA.
The first item on the agenda of the meeting was a special presentation entitled "Implementing the Spirit of the National Education Congress and Accelerating the Construction of First-class Universities" made by, Guo Weilu, Party Secretary of the East China University of Political Science and Law.
The second item on the agenda of the meeting was a summary of the main work in 2018 given by Huang Changyong, President of STA. Last May, STA successfully held its second Party Congress. STA applied and was approved for entry into the local high-level universities construction program of Shanghai, and STA’s acting major entered the first-class undergraduate construction scheme of Shanghai. STA has made significant breakthrough in the application and listing approval for research projects, with 16 research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial levels including 3 national-level key projects. STA has also achieved fruitful results in its teaching achievements, including one national teaching achievement award, one municipal special award and three first-class awards, and has created a number of excellent works. The operational environment and conditions of STA have been constantly improving. With the Pujiang Campus to be officially put into use this year, STA’s campus layout featuring "four centers" will formally take shape, the teaching environment and conditions will be fully improved, and the discipline mix will be more scientific and further optimized. At the end, President Huang Changyong made a brief deployment of the key work in 2019.
Finally, Party Secretary Lou Wei pointed out the relevant issues and put forward specific requirements with regard to the sense of responsibility of leaders and management team. Secretary Lou Wei also made the deployment of the work and relevant matters for attention during the forthcoming winter vacation.
