Recently, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) held the 2019 graduation ceremony of continuing education for higher education qualifications. Vice President of STA Liu Qing attended the graduation ceremony. The graduation ceremony was presided over by Qi Jisong, Deputy Party Secretary of the STA College of Continuing Education.
The graduation ceremony began in the magnificent national anthem. First, Du Wei, a student of the 2016 Bacholor of Radio and TV Directing (for Associate Degree Holders), gave a speech as a representative of the graduating students. She talked about her indissoluble bound with continuing education. As someone who already had a decent job and income, for her pursuit and love for the arts, she commenced continuing education after getting her master of law degree at the Fudan University. She was very grateful for her three years studying at the Shanghai Theatre Academy and grateful to her teachers for the training and education. Then, Ji Pengfei gave a speech the teacher as a representative of the teachers. He summed up the five iconic films during the development of Chinese films from the great historical achievements of the 40 years’ reform and opening up in China and, in the meantime, also warned the students to always remain clean as a person and innovative in doing things. Subsequently, Ma Linhong, Executive Deputy Dean of the STA College of Continuing Education, read out the name list of graduates.
Finally, Vice President Liu Qing made a speech. He first congratulated the 195 students who graduated that day, and expressed the hope that each STA student can live up to their mission, firmly remember the motto of STA to “strive for perfection”, and continue to move forward with the glory and dream of STA on their shoulders and the original aspiration in their minds.
