On the afternoon of 20 December, as the first activity after the launch of the "Young Marxist Literary and Artistic Workers Construction Project (Phase I)", the "Talking and Reading" dialogue and interview session was held in the New Space Theatre. This activity was jointly organized by the Student Work Department, Teacher Work Department, School of Marxism and Acting Department. Party Secretary of Shanghai Theatre Academy Lou Wei attended the event and delivered a speech. Deputy Party Secretary of Shanghai Theatre Academy Hu Min and Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of Shanghai Theatre Academy Zhang Weiling also attended the event. The first group of participating students in the "Young Marxist Literary and Artistic Workers Construction Project" as well as representatives of teachers and students who are party members from various colleges and departments participated in the event.
On 30 November this year, the Shanghai Theatre Academy launched the "Young Marxist Literary and Artistic Workers Construction Project (Phase I)" and selected 20 outstanding students from the whole school as the first group of students to enter the project and invited 12 tutors from within and without the Shanghai Theatre Academy to pair up with these students to strengthen the careful cultivation. The purpose of this was to cultivate the new generation of talents who will promote the prosperity of socialist culture and strive to make contribution to leading the direction of cultural and artistic development in the new era.
As the first activity after the launching of the "Young Marxist Literary and Artistic Workers Construction Project (Phase I)", this dialogue and interview session focused on reading the classical Marxist literature "Communist Manifesto" and the important programmatic document for guiding the current literary and artistic work of the important programmatic document "General Secretary Xi Jinping's Important Speech at the Forum on Literary and Artistic Work".
In 2019, basing on the "Young Marxist Literary and Artistic Workers Construction Project", a number of other dialogues and interview sessions on the theme of "Talking about Art" and "Talking about Life" etc will be launched in succession. And, the first group of students in the project will be guided to study conscientiously, practice actively and strive to create a batch of outstanding student works that will live up to the time and reflect the requirements of the time and the voice of the people under the guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping's Thought of Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the New Era and the spirit of “General Secretary Xi Jinping’s Important Speech at the Forum on Literary and Artistic Work”.
