On the afternoon of 20 December, the Graduate School held a training session for newly postgraduate supervisors in the conference room on the first floor of Foxi Building. The training session was chaired by Professor Li Zhenlin, Dean of Graduate School, and attended by Vice President of Shanghai Theatre Academy Liu Qing, Professor Lu Jun and newly appointed postgraduate supervisors.
First of all, Professor Lu Jun shared his experience with the newly appointed postgraduate supervisor. Professor Lu Jun made a wonderful sharing and interaction with the supervisors from four aspects, i.e. the relationship between supervisors and students, the relationship between academic research and artistic creation, the relationship between classroom teaching and extracurricular practice, and the relationship between self-development and student training.
Secondly, the managerial staff of the Graduate School introduced the training process of postgraduate students in detail, interpreted the specific requirements of the Ministry of Education for supervisors in the process of training postgraduate students, and emphasized that the supervisors should establish the awareness that postgraduate supervisors are the primary responsible persons for the training of graduate students.
Finally, Vice President Liu Qing made the concluding remarks, asking that the supervisors should carefully study the “Implementation Rules of the Shanghai Theatre Academy Concerning the Duties of Postgraduate Supervisors for Cultivating the Students and Establishing Their Moral Values” and the “Ten Guidelines for Professional Conduct of University Teachers in the New Era” issued by the Ministry of Education, and hoping that the supervisors present will make more contributions to the training of postgraduate students at the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
