Shanghai Theatre Academy wins Shanghai Graduate Student Entrepreneurship Incubation Award

On 17 November 2018, the special event of the Shanghai Graduate Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program entitled “Angel Enters Laboratory” was successfully held in the Hall C of the Shanghai International Fashion Center. This event, sponsored by the Shanghai Degree Office and the Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Foundation for Graduates, was an important activity of the Shanghai Graduate Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program. At the meeting, various kinds of awards for innovation and entrepreneurship incubation for graduate students in Shanghai were presented, and the Shanghai Theatre Academu won the Entrepreneurship Incubation Award of the Shanghai Graduate Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program 2013 - 2017.

 

The Shanghai Graduate Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program was initiated by the Shanghai Municipal Education Committee in 2013. As a public welfare organization, the Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Foundation for Graduates has been the organizer of the annual entrepreneurship training program for graduate students. So far, six training programs have been held with a total of 1400 received projects including more than 700 incubated projects. 587 incubated projects have been successfully finalized, with a completion rate of 91.9%. Among them, 189 projects have formally embarked on the road of entrepreneurship, with a conversion rate of 29.6%. 117 of them have passed the 2nd round review of the Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Fund (also know as the Angel Fund) and 100 projects have been financed by the Angel Fund, with a Angel Fund financing rate of 52.9%.

According to the statistics, in recent years, more than 10 projects of the graduate students of the Shanghai Theatre Academy have successfully participated in the Shanghai Graduate Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program, among which Zhou Peipei of MFA Art Design 2013 has received the funding support from the Eagle Plan of the Angel Fund.
