On the morning of 10 November, the 2nd Congress of the Old Professors Association of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) was held. The Congress adopted the newly revised articles of association of the Old Professors Association of Shanghai Theatre Academy and elected the directors of the new board. Lu Minxuan, Vice President of Shanghai Old Professors Association and Yu Lizhong, Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Old Professors Association, were invited to attend the meeting. Lou Wei, Party Secretary of Shanghai Theatre Academy, was present at the congress to express congratulations. The congress was presided over by Professor Liu Minghou, director of the first board of the Old Professors Association of STA.
First of all, on behalf of the Shanghai Old Professors Association, Vice President Lu Minxin expressed his congratulations on the holding of the congress and his best wishes for the smooth progress of its agenda. On behalf of the first board of directors, President Zhou Benyi made a work report to the congress. Party Secretary of STA Lou Wei thanked all the old professors and veterans on behalf of the CPC STA Committee. On behalf of the CPC STA Committee, he fully affirmed the outstanding contributions made by the first board of directors of the first Old Professors Association of STA in the past seven years. He hoped that the new board of directors to be elected would better run the Old Professors Association of STA, better serve the old professors, give better play to the role of the old professors, and make greater contributions to the future of STA.
Professor Zhou Baodi explained the amendments made to the articles of association of the Old Professors Association of STA. The congress passed the revised articles of association by a vote of hands. Liu Haiqing, Secretary of the Retired Personnel Branch of the CPC STA Committee, gave a presentation to the congress on the recommendation of candidates for the 2nd board of directors of the Old Professors Association of STA and provided a brief introduction of the candidates. President Zhou Benyi presented the “Shanghai Old Professors Contribution Award for Advanced Individuals” to Professor Chen Mingzheng. Party Secretary of STA Lou Wei presented the honorary president appointment certificate to Professor Zhou Benyi.
According to the principles and methods for the election of the new board of directors, the congress elected the new board of directors. The newly elected directors of the board are Wang Lijun, Zhu Meili, Liu Minghou, Li Jianping, Li Li, Li Haixia, Zhang Zhongnian, Zhou Baodi and Xu Mingde. Subsequently, the meeting of the new board of directors was convened, at which Li Jianping was elected as President, Liu Minghou as Vice-President, and Zhou Baodi as Vice-President and Secretary-General. Li Jianping, President of the newly elected President of the Old Professors Association of STA, spoke to thank everyone for the trust. He said that under the leadership of the CPC STA Committee and the continued guidance of Professor Zhou Benyi, we can certainly make our own contributions to the new development of STA.
