At the invitation of Professor Adirano de Santis, President of Italy’s National Film Academy of Rome (Film Experimental Centre), Professor He Yan, Dean of the Acting Department of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, visited the school from 20 to 29 January 2019 for academic exchanges and lectures.
During his visit in Italy, Professor He Yan conducted a five-day special teaching of Improvisation Training for the sophomores of acting major at the National Film Academy of Rome (Film Experimental Center), which was warmly welcomed and highly praised by teachers and students there. Professor He Yan has conducted training for acting teachers and students as well as professional actors in Germany, Russia and the United States on many occasions. He hopes to find and explore the general law of acting education through cross-cultural exchanges in acting education.
Professor He Yan and President Adriano De Santis reached a preliminary intention on educational cooperation between the two schools. In addition to student exchange which will continue, the two sides will also carry out in-depth cooperation in the teaching of acting for film and television.
