After carefully reviewing the experience and shortcomings of the first round of pilot teaching in the last semester, the College of Marxism of Shanghai Theater Academy launched the second round of pilot teaching of the “Introduction to Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era” course in the spring of 2021.
In the second semester of the 2020-2021 academic year, the pilot teaching of the "Introduction to Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era" course will be carried out at the Huashan Road Campus and the Changlin Road Campus respectively, which leads to 2 credits and includes 14 teaching topics. The teaching class at the Huashan Road Campus is composed of 21 students from Acting for Theatre, Film and Television 2020 and Directing for Theatre, Film and Television 2020, and is chaired by teacher Wang Yaqi of the College of Marxism for teaching arrangements and relevant end-of-course matters. The teaching class at the Changlin Road Campus is composed of 20 students from Broadcasting and Professional Hosting 2020, and is presided over by teacher Xiao Yongkui of the College of Marxism for teaching arrangements and relevant end-of-course matters.
On the morning of 8 March 2021, Xie Wei, Party Secretary of the Shanghai Theater Academy, taught the first lesson of this course entitled “General Introduction to Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for the New Era” in Classroom 208 of the Red Building on the Huashan Road Campus. Students generally felt greatly attracted by Secretary Xie's 90 minute class, and were full of expectations for the other lessons of this course that would follow.
