On 5 March this year, sponsored by the Shanghai Theatre Academy and the Red Cultural and Creative Development Centre of Shanghai Creative Industry Association, guided by the Enlai Foundation and the Shanghai Creative Industry Association, and supported by the Shanghai College Students' Drama Art Practice Base and the College of Creative Studies of Shanghai Theatre Academy, the "Script Reading Session of Performance Showcase of the University-Created Original Stage Plays Based on Stories of Zhou Enlai&Exchange Meeting on Party History Study” was held in the Foxi Academy on the Changlin Road Campus of the Shanghai Theatre Academy. This activity was a look backon the youth and faith on the occasion of celebrating the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
In 2020, the graduate students of art management of the Shanghai Theatre Academy initiated the establishment of the "College Students' Drama Art Exchange Platform", which aims to promote the exchange and linkage between professional art schools and drama groups in comprehensive universities.
The Performance Showcase of University-Created Original Stage Plays Based on Stories of Zhou Enlai is an important activity launched by the "College Students' Drama Art Exchange Platform". The theme of the performance showcase is "Lets Meet When China Takes off and Flies High in the World". Under the organization of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, student drama groups from the Fudan University, the Shanghai Jiaotong University, the Tongji University, the Donghua University, the East China University of Political Science and Law and other universities in Shanghai brought their own short plays about Zhou Enlai's stories in his youth to commemorate this outstanding leader of the Communist Party of China in the way of script reading, thus feeling the red spirit of the elder generation.
Zhou Enlai is one of theoutstanding leaders of the Communist Party of China most familiar to the youth today. His motto "Study for the Rise of China" has inspired countless young students to strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
After the script reading session, the teachers and students also carried out the exchange activity on party history study. Finally, the teachers and students at the event recited the famous poem written by Zhou Enlai in his youth.
