The original drama “Outpost” created by the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA), for which the ticket sale was scheduled to begin on 24 January and the premier was scheduled on 7 to 9 February, has entered the final stage of preparation.

On 21 January, the crew of “Outpost” held a meeting to mobilize for its upcoming premiere. Xie Wei, Party Secretary of STA, Huang Changyong, President of STA, and Yang Yang, Vice president of STA, were present.

In order to ensure that the rehearsals and performances would be carried out smoothly, the crew of Outpost specially invited He Liang, Deputy Director of the Logistics and Security Office of STA, to brief all cast and crew members on the specific arrangements for COVID-19 prevention and control, reminding the entire crew to pay even greater attention to the awareness of prevention and control, and to earnestly implement the prevention and control measures in the critical final stage of preparation.

Secretary Xie Wei put forward three expectations to the crew:

1. Further establish theawareness of producing quality works. "Outpost" is a key creative project established to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. It carries great historical, political and practical significance. It should be built into a masterpiece of stage art that can stand the test of history and audience, so as to fully demonstrate the creation and performance level of STA on the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

2. Further establish theawareness of being the platform. Establishing a platformtype of university is an important development strategy of STA. The creation of "Outpost" reflects STAs comprehensive advantages in terms ofsubjects and specialties, and provides a platform for the development of teachers and students. At the same time, it is also a unique platform for party building and high-level exchange.

3. Further establish the safety awareness. Put safety first, ensure the COVID-19 prevention and control within the crew, and implement other safety-related measures.
