It is reported that the China-EU International Youth Film Festival is the only international youth film festival jointly supported by China and the European Union. The College of Film of our university became the co-organizer of the China-EU International Film Festival in 2019, for which the organizing committee is located in Brussels, Belgium, where the European Union headquarters is located. The China-EU International Youth Film Festival is held once a year calling for submission of the best original films created by youth of China and EU countries for selection, display, commendation and exchange. The China-EU International Youth Film Festival is also a member of the China-EU Education Alliance for Humanities and Arts initiated by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
