On 17 December 2020, the first general meeting of all teaching and administrative staff of the College of Creative Studies was held in the Circular Conference Room at the Changlin Road Campus. This was not only a major event after the entire College of Creative Studies was relocated to the Changlin Road Campus, but also an important initiative to implement the teaching and administrative staff's participation in democratic decision-making, democratic management and democratic supervision, and to promote the development of the college. Tang Litu, vice president of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, attended the general meeting.
Liu Zhixin, dean of the College of Creative Studies, first made the "Administrative Work Report for Year 2020 of the College of Creative Studies of Shanghai Theatre Academy" and the "Statement on Final Accounts of Revenue and Expenditure for Year 2020 of the College of Creative Studies of Shanghai Theatre Academy". Tang Fang, deputy party secretary of the College of Creative Studies and chairwomen of the departmental trade union, made a report on the work of the trade union. Ling Jun, committee member of the departmental trade union of the College of Creative Studies and leader of the proposal group, made a report on the situation of proposals made by the teaching and administrative staff.
During the discussion session, all the teachers reviewed and discussed the administrative work report and the trade union work report, and put forward suggestions on teaching, scientific research, creation and student management etc. All agreed that the reports were comprehensive and pragmatic, which objectively reflected the state of development of the College of Creative Studies, and gave everybody the confidence and encouragement. The two reports were adopted by a show of hands.
Fang Jun, party secretary of the College of Creative Studies, on behalf of the college’s leadership team, expressed thanks to all the staff who have contributed to the development of the college, and put forward some thoughts and ideas based on the work of the college.
Finally, Tang Litu, vice president of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, made a speech. He gave his recognition to the general meeting of teaching and administrative staff of the College of Creative Studies, and pointed out that the relocation of the College of Creative Studies from the Huashan Road Campus to the Changlin Road Campus this year and the normalization of teaching at the new campus is the result of the efforts of all staff of the College of Creative Studies. He asked that the teaching and administrative staff of the College of Creative Studies should focus on the planning for the "14th Five Year Plan" period, sum up experience and practice, refine their own development characteristics, and plan well for the future work with establishing moral values and cultivating people as the fundamental tasks.
