On 19 October, the College of Dance of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) held the "Respect the Elderly Month" theme event. A number of retired leaders and retired experts of the College of Dance Academy were invited to attend the event. Also attending the event werecurrent Party and administrative leaders, managerial staff at all levels and representatives of young and middle-aged teachers of the College of Dance.
Zhang Lin, Party Secretary of the STA College of Dance, extended the welcome to the retired leaders and retired experts for their presenceon behalf of the Party and administrative leadership teams of the college, and also expressed his gratitude for their past contributions to and long-term care and support for the college. Chen Jianian, Dean of the STC College of Dance, pointed out that young teachers should learn from artists of the older generation, closely focus on the fundamental task of establishing moral values and cultivating people, attach importance to the development of teachers' ethics and style, and constantly improve their self-cultivation and professional competence. The event was presided over by Yin Yuerong, Deputy Secretary of the STA College of Dance. Vice Dean Zhou Bei and managerial staff and young teachers attending the event also made remarks.
After that, all the retired leaders and retired experts of the STA College of Dance put on the university badge of STA for the newly commenced young teachers, and had a warm exchange with the current leadership teams and the young teachers of the college . They hoped that everyone would uphold the spirit of “Excellence and Perfection”, carry the expectation of the predecessors and the mission and glory of being a member of the STA College of Dance, and create a new situation for the STA College of Dance.
