On 15 October, the Party general branch of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) College of Chinese Opera organized a party day activity with the theme of "tracing the footprints and witnessing the great changes of the riverside area, anticipating the China International Import Expo and appreciating the development of Shanghai". All Party members of the teaching and administrative staff branch and the student branch participated in the activity. In November 2019, during his research visit in Shanghai, General-Secretary Xi Jinping gave full recognition to the approaches and initiatives of Yangpu District to transform the riverside space in a scientific way and create venues of public leisure activities for the people, and put forward the important concept of "people's city to be built by the people, people's city to serve the people". The teacher and student Party members of the STA College of Chinese Opera walked down the Riverside Avenue and listened to the introduction given by Jiang Xiaohong, Secretary of the Party general branch about the development and changes of the riverside area in Yangpu District in recent years. On the way, the teacher and student Party members toured the public facilities along the river. They acquired a deep appreciation of the transformation of the old urban district and the changes and development of the city as a whole. They were full of expectations for the 3rd China International Import Expo to be held in Shanghai very soon.

In order to further implement the "four histories" study and education, under the leadership of Zhang Jiachun, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee of STA and chief accountant of STA, the Party members of the No.6 Party branch of STA’s functional offices, together with the Party members of the No.5 Party branch of Shanghai Conservatory of Music (SCM)’s functional offices as well as the managerial and working-level staff of relevant departments of SCM, went to the Shanghai Mint Museum for a study visit on the afternoon of 16 October. With the explanation of Ma Yishun, deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Shanghai Mint Co Ltd, the Party members participating in the visit not only acquired the understanding of the technical process of coin making, but also further understood the development history of coin making in contemporary and modern ages and knowledge of coinage. They deeply felt the solemnity and sanctity of "making coinage for the country", and fully realized the historical role played by coinage in stabilizing the national monetary system and even the financial order, which inspired everyone’s patriotic feelings and national self-confidence. Zhu Xihua from the Shanghai Mint Co Ltd, an alumnus of BA Stage Design 2001 of STA and now a design expert of China's banknote printing and coin making industry, warmly introduced his award- winning works to the visitors from his alma mater.

On the afternoon of 19 October 2020, the No.4 Party branch of STA’s functional offices and the Party branch of STA’s Department of Theatrical Literature came to the preparatory site of the 3rd China International Import Expo (CIIC 2020), i.e. the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) known as "Four Leaf Clover", and jointly carried out an immersive Party day theme activity entitled "Learning the spirit of CIIE and Telling a Good Story of CIIC" on the spot and in the real scene. In order to learn more accurately and deeply about the CIIC, a guest Party member, namely Ma Shaodong, an officer of the Youth League Committee of Shanghai Construction Engineering Group Co Ltd, who participated in the design, construction and renovation of the CIIE venue, was specially invited to lead the Party members from STA to “enter” CIIC. The event was divided into two parts, i.e. the main venue viewing and the discussion focusing on the theme. Finally, Zhang Jing and Fang Liang, secretaries of the two Party branches made a brief summary of this Party Day activity.
