Sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of Education, the China Association of Science and Technology and the All-China Students’ Federation, the 12th "Challenge Cup" China College Students' Entrepreneurship Proposals Competition is a directional, demonstrative and widely-participated innovation and entrepreneurship competition.

Focusing on the five development concepts of innovation, coordination, environmental protection, openness and sharing, and the goals of fighting the decisive battle of poverty alleviation and winning the decisive victory of achieving an all-round modestly well-off society in 2020, this year’s competition has set up five new competition groups, i.e. scientific and technological innovation and future industry, rural revitalization and poverty alleviation, urban governance and social services, ecological and environmental protection and sustainable development, cultural creativity and regional cooperation.

After the competition was launched in July, the Student Affairs Office and the Youth League Committee of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) actively prepared for the competition. A total of 88 projects were registered for the competition, reaching a record high in terms of the entries and scale. After the evaluation and assessment by experts both within and without STA, two projects were selected to participate in the semi-finals of the competition at the municipal level. STA students won one silver award and one bronze award of the Shanghai Division of the competition, achieving the best results of STA’s participation in the "Challenge Cup" China College Students' Entrepreneurship Proposals Competition. Of which, the "Innovative Content Matrix for Red IP" won the bronze award in the Shanghai semi-finals, and the “Zhi Gu Technology Total Solution for Content E-commerce (Shanghai Xiangmanyuan Cultural Media Co Ltd) was shortlisted for the Shanghai finals and won the silver award.

In recent years, the Communist Youth League Committee of STA has given full play to the advantages of bringing young people together, integrated resources of various colleges and departments, focused on providing guidance and service to students for innovation and entrepreneurship. The Student Affairs Office and the Employment and Entrepreneurship Work Office have worked together to build a platform for students to give full play to their creative potential, practice their innovation ability and realize their entrepreneurial dreams, and have played a positive role in enriching the educational effect of the second class and serving the growth and development of STA students.
