On the afternoon of 25 July 2020, the seminar on "Reflection on the Construction of Theatre,Film and Television Disciplines and Majors in thePost COVID-19 Era", which was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education’s Teaching Steering Committee for Theatre, Film and Television Major of Higher Education Institutions and the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) and organized by the Office of Theatre, Film and Television Disciplines of STA, was successfully held online.
The opening session was chaired by Professor Yang Yang, Vice President of STA. Professor Huang Changyong, President of STA, and Professor Zhou Xing, Director of the Ministry of Education’s Teaching Steering Committee of Theatre, Film and Television Majors and Director of the China Art Education Research Center of Beijing Normal University, delivered speeches.
In the two subsequent theme discussion sessions, experts and scholars from the Ministry of Education’s Teaching Steering Committee for Theatre, Film and Television Majors of Higher Education Institutions, the Theatre, Film and Television Disciplines Review Group of State Council’s Academic Degrees Committee, the Shanghai Theatre Academy, the Beijing Film Academy, the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts, the Communication University of Shanxi, the Nanjing University of the Arts, the Southwest University, the Beijing Normal University, Peking University, the Shandong University of Arts, Fudan University and the China Institute of Stage Design made keynote speeches and academic presentations, engaged in-depth discussions.
In the closing session, Professor Jun Jun, Chairman of the Academic Committee of STA, delivered the closing remarks, and Professor Zhou Xing, Director of the Ministry of Education’s Teaching Steering Committee for Theatre, Film and Television Majors of Higher Education Institutions, and Director of the China Art Education Research Center of Beijing Normal University, made the wrap-up speech.
