On the morning of 11 June, Zhang Yuqing, leader of the discipline inspection group of the CPC Committee for Education and Health of Shanghai Municipal Discipline Inspection Commission, led the Special Supervision and Steering Group for Work Concerning Employment of Shanghai University Graduates (“the Supervision and Steering Group”) totaling eight people to our university to inspect and guide the employment related work concerning graduates. From our university, Huang Changyong, Deputy Party Secretary and President, Zhang Weiling, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President, heads and representatives of the departments of the Student Affairs Office, the Youth League Committee, the Graduate School, the Academic Affairs Office, the Office of CPC Committee and the President, the Financial Office, the Personnel Office, the Admissions Office and the Teachers Affairs Office etc attended the meeting. Through work reporting, exchange and discussion, materials checking, comprehensive review and other ways, this supervision and steering on this occasion gave on-site concern, inspected and provide guidance to the measures and implementation of our university’s work concerning employment and entrepreneurship in terms of organization and leadership, one policy for one student, employment services, support for students in need and so on.
Zhang Weiling, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President, first gave a report to the Supervision and Steering Group on the basic situation, key working measures and plans for the next step of our university to promote the work concerning the employment of graduates in 2020. President Huang Changyong spoke at the meeting. The heads of the Graduate School, the Academic Affairs Office and the Student Affairs Office talked about the specific organization and implementation of the employment related work, and put forward the reflections on education and teaching brought by the employment related work under the situation of COVID-19 outbreak. After the meeting, the Supervision and Steering Group organized to hold a meeting with teachers, and checked the relevant materials concerning the implementation of employment related work.
At last, on behalf of the Supervision and Steering Group, Zhang Yuqing, the group leader, provided feedbacks of this supervision and steering visit on employment related work to our university, giving full recognition to the work of our university concerning the employment of graduates, and putting forward further expectations and requirements. Leaders of our university, including Huang Changyong, Deputy Party Secretary and President, Hu Min, Deputy Party Secretary, and Zhang Weiling, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President, listened carefully to the feedbacks given by the Supervision and Steering Group, and expressed that our university would further strengthen the implementation.
