Victoria University of Wellington delegation visits Shanghai Theatre Academy

On the morning of 17 November 2019, Rebecca Needham, Assistant Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International Engagement), Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, visited Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA), together with Cao Juan, China Country Manager, Victoria University of Willington, and Tao Li, an alumna of Victoria University of Willington School of Film. Yang Yang, Vice President of STA, Zhang Yunlei, Director of STA International Exchange Center, and Fei Yong, Associate Professor of STA College of Film and Television, received the guests.

Assistant Pro-Vice-Chancellor Rebecca Needham introduced the history, geographical location, subject characteristics and student situation of Victoria University of Wellington, especially its advantages and international cooperation in screenwriting, directing and production for film and television.

Vice President Yang Yang first introduced the development of STA, including the geographical distribution and discipline mix of the four campuses and STA’s international exchange. He pointed out that STA’s College of Film and Television, College of Creative Studies and Department of Theatrical Literature have a better fit with the relevant majors of Victoria University of Willington, and there is the potential for cooperation. Zhang Yunlei and Fei Yong respectively introduced the specific international exchange projects of STA and the experience and needs of students of the College of Film and Television in terms of overseas exchange.

The two sides had a warm and friendly exchange, including an in-depth discussion on different cooperation modes in terms of teacher and student exchange and credit transfer.
