Wang Jingchun wins Golden Rooster Best Actor Award and Yang Zaibao is honored as a Lifetime Achievement Film Artist

The 28th Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival was recently held in Xiamen, Fujian Province. On the evening of 23November, various prizes of the 32nd China Film Golden Rooster Awards were announced. Wang Jingchun, an alumnus of Shanghai Theatre Academy, won the heavyweight Best Actor Award for his outstanding performance in the film So Long, My Son. Yang Zaibao, a senior alumnus of Shanghai Theatre Academy, was honored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles with the title of Lifetime Achievement Film Artist.

In the competition for this year’s Golden Rooster awards, a number of alumni of Shanghai Theatre Academy won the different nomination awards. Xu Zheng won the Best Actor Nomination Award for his performance in Dying to Survive, Tu Men won the Best Actor Nomination Award for his performance in Old Beast, Ma Yili won the Best Actress Nomination Award for her performance in Lost, Found, Wang Chuanjun won the Best Supporting Actor Nomination Award for his performance in Dying to Survive, and Xu Xing won the Best Supporting Actress Nomination Award for her performance in ”If You Are Happy".
