On the afternoon of 11 July 2019, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) held the College of Marxism Honorary Dean Appointment Ceremony of honorary Dean of Marxist College and the Seminar on Reform and Innovation in Ideological and Political Education in the conference room on the second floor of the Foxi Building. The meeting was presided over by Hu Min, Deputy Party Secretary of STA, and attended by Xie Wei, Party Secretary of STA, Huang Changyong, Deputy Party Deputy and President of STA, Yang Yang, Vice President of STA, Liu Qing, Vice President of STA, heads of various functional departments, experts and scholars from within and without STA, teachers of art theory, and all teachers of the College of Marxism.
In order to further strengthen the development of the STA College of Marxism and improve the level of theoretical research in Marxism and the level of discipline construction of art theory, the Party Committee of STA decided to appoint Professor Zhu Liyuan of Fudan University as the honorary Dean of the STA College of Marxism. The proceedings of the appointment ceremony included Vice President Yang Yang first reading out the appointment decision, and then President Huang Changyong giving a speech and presenting the appointment certificate.
After the appointment ceremony, Deputy Party Secretary Hu Min announced the decision to carry out the Ideological and Political Lectures program at STA.
The first group of specially appointed experts for the “Ideological and Political Lectures” program has included well-known experts, scholars and noted public figures from within and without STA. Vice President Liu Qing presented the appointment certificates to the representatives of the specially appointed experts, namely, Professor Shi Souhua, Professor Ge Lang and Professor Zhang Shengquan.
Finally, Party Secretary Xie Wei, made a speech. He pointed out that the appointment of honorary dean of the College of Marxism and the appointment of special experts of the Ideological and Political Lectures program will certainly further promote the development of the STA College of Marxism and further enhance the level of ideological and political education at STA.
