On the afternoon of 21 May, coinciding with the opening of the 12th China Arts Festival in Shanghai, the signing ceremony of the framework agreement on cooperation between the Shanghai Theatre Academy and the National Theatre of China and the plaque unveiling ceremony of the Shanghai Creation Base were held in the conference room of the Foxi Building at the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA). Li Qun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, attended the ceremonies and unveiled the plaque for the National Theatre of China Shanghai Creation Base. Sun Ruofeng, Director-General of the Science, Technology and Education Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ming Wenjun, Inspector and Deputy Director-General of the Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Zhang Xuxia, Deputy Director-General of the General Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Hang Chunfang, Deputy Party Secretary and Deputy Director-General of the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, Ni Minjing, Deputy Director-General of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Jing Xiaoyong, Party Secretary and Vice President of the National Theatre of China, Zhou Yuyuan, President of the National Theatre of China, Tian Qinxin, Vice President of the National Theatre of China, Xie Wei, Party Secretary of STA, Huang Changyong, Deputy Party Secretary and President of STA, Hu Min, Deputy Party Secretary of STA, Liu Qing, Vice President of STA, and other leaders and guests attended the ceremonies. The ceremonies were presided over by Hu Min, Deputy Party Secretary of STA.
At the meeting, Li Qun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, unveiled the plaque for the National Theatre of China Shanghai Creation Base. Huang Changyong, Deputy Party Secretary and President of STA, and Zhou Yuyuan, President of the National Theatre of China, signed the framework agreement on cooperation. According to the agreement, the two sides will jointly carry out interactive exchanges and cooperation in various aspects in the future. For example, STA will become the southern creation base and the southern academic research base of the National Theatre of China, the National Theatre of China will become as the internship and practice base for students of STA as well as the industry, education and research base for teachers of STA, the two sides will cooperate in the production of plays, and the two sides will work together on the development of the STA Youth Theatre Troupe.
Xie Wei, Party Secretary of STA, Jing Xiaoyong, Party Secretary and Vice President of the National Theatre of China, and Tian Qinxin, Vice President of the National Theatre of China, delivered speeches at the meeting.
After the ceremonies, Vice Minister Li Qun also toured the STA campus and watched the exhibition of graduates' works.
