On the afternoon of 5 May 2019, the consultation meeting on the Measures of the Shanghai Theatre Academy for the Management of Funding Support for the Publication of Academic Works (Trial Implementation), which was held in the first floor conference room on the west wing of the Foxi Building, and the meeting was chaired by Yang Yang, Vice President of STA. Wu Aili, Director of the Research Division, Zhi Yunbo, Deputy Director of the Research Division, relevant teachers and research secretaries from various departments, colleges and offices, and other relevant staff of the Research Division participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, Deputy Director Zhi Yunbo first introduced the relevant situation of Management Measures. Vice President Yang Yang raised the earnest expectation of enhancing the academic competitiveness and influence of STA and improving the level of professional competence of our teachers. He stressed the importance of standardizing the management of the publication of academic works, and called for all departments, colleges and offices, as well as all participants at the meeting, to actively put forward valuable opinions on the Management Measures.
Professor Gong Baorong, Director of the Foreign Drama Research Center, Vice Professor Qu Fengguo, Deputy Dean of the Stage Design Department, Vice Professor Wei Mei of the Theatrical Literature Department, and some other teachers made comments and provided suggestions on the problems existing in the Management Measures. The research secretaries of various departments, colleges and offices also conveyed the collated feedbacks from the teachers of their respective units. Vice President Yang Yang responded in detail to these opinions and suggestions and instructed the Research Division to sum up and sort out the feedbacks, and to supplement, enrich and optimize the Management Measures. Finally, Vice President Yang Yang thanked all participants for their presence and deployed the follow-up work together with Director Wu Aili.
